Neil A. Johnson – President & Founder
Through the course of his career, Mr. Johnson has completed approximately $5 billion in acquisitions and dispositions in nearly 200 transactions. Mr. Johnson has been an active investor and manager in Industrial, Office, R&D and Retail assets in all of the West Coast major markets. The following are some highlights specific to the last ten years of his career:
- Completed 21 food related industrial buildings acquisitions totaling 7.5 million square feet
- Completed nearly $3.0 billion in acquisitions through 45 transactions
- Established Westcore as the tenth largest commercial property landlord in the Silicon Valley within three years of opening the San Francisco office in 2005
- Recorded a strong track record of acquiring, operating and disposing of assets
Before joining Westcore, Mr. Johnson was Vice President, Acquisitions & Development with Legacy Partners Commercial, LLC where he was responsible for sourcing new acquisitions in the Bay Area and Seattle regions with a focus on office and industrial product. Prior to that, Mr. Johnson served as Assistant Vice President, Capital Markets Group for AEW Capital Management. He was responsible for West Coast dispositions and financings that included both brokered and direct transactions. Mr. Johnson has also held positions at RREEF Funds and The Koll Company and is a Business Finance graduate of California State University, Fullerton.
John Russell Long, Jr. - Managing Director
John’s primary responsibilities at Highridge Provender are focused on property acquisitions and leasing to include broker interaction and marketing for Highridge Provender’s portfolio. Having worked in and around the food industry for fifteen years, combined with his knowledge of the industrial real estate landscape, John brings a well-rounded expertise to the position.
Before joining Highridge Provender, John was a commercial real estate broker at Colliers International and the Western Region representative for Colliers Food Advisory Services group, where he specialized in the representation of owners and users of food related industrial properties. Areas of focus included food processing, production, packaging, distribution and cold storage. John is known for his creativity in bringing parties together and his tenacity and commitment to getting the deal done.
John is a licensed real estate broker in the state of California and has more than eight years of commercial real estate experience.
Clay Knapp - Director of Financial Operations
As a Director of Financial Operations at Highridge Provender, Clay coordinates due diligence on acquisitions and focuses on capital markets and asset management throughout the acquisition, financing, and disposition processes.
After graduating from the Marshall School of Business at USC, Clay Knapp began his career at Wells Fargo as a Financial Analyst. Within the Commercial Real Estate Group at Wells Fargo, Clay became the Senior Financial Analyst in the Orange County office and worked on both recourse and non-recourse loans ranging from $10 million to $150 million+. Clay served as the lead analyst on relationships exceeding $1 billion in total credit exposure at Wells Fargo.
As a competitive indoor volleyball player, Clay was a two-time Junior All-American and a two-time Junior Olympic gold medalist. Clay was also MPSF Champion and NCAA Finalist during his time on the NCAA Men’s Volleyball Team at USC.
With a history in the real estate industry, Clay’s father Greg and grandfather Jim have been active investors in West Coast commercial real estate through The Brookhollow Group. Jim Knapp founded The Brookhollow Group in 1973 and the company is currently headquartered in Costa Mesa, CA.
Jack Winn - Associate
As an Associate at Highridge Provender, Jack performs underwriting for acquisitions and is heavily involved throughout the acquisition, financing, asset management and disposition processes.
He graduated from USC’s Marshall School of Business with a core emphasis in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Real Estate. He previously interned at The Carson Companies, where he assisted in underwriting prospective industrial projects throughout Southern California and Houston.
Jack is also an avid outdoorsman, and has completed a National Outdoor Leadership course, where he spent 75 days in the Alaskan backcountry mountaineering, sea kayaking, and backpacking. He has also hiked the John Muir Trail and climbed two 19,000 foot peaks in Peru’s Cordillera Blanca. He also enjoys surfing and recently participated in a triathlon to help challenged athletes around the world.
Andrea Lopez - Marketing Coordinator
Andrea has over nine years of experience in the real estate industry, and has worked closely with top level executives, assisting in the completion of approximately $120 million in acquisitions and dispositions. Additionally, she has served as the bookkeeper at both the corporate and property entity levels.
Over the course of her career, Andrea has worked with various product types including Multi-family Residential, Commercial, and Single Family Residential, in the different stages of development, investment, rehabilitation, and operation.
Andrea has joined the Highridge Provender team as Office Administrator and oversees the daily operations of the office, as well as assisting with the acquisitions and dispositions as needed.
